My uncle Ronald William starling aged 16yrs from Bedfordshire, went missing while on holiday on August 22nd 1945 after visiting St Georges well. He was found 2 weeks later by Mr J Brown of the Ocean Pride off the Stepper Point. My brothers and I will be meeting shortly to discuss a donation to the project and I will become a life member. Good luck to all involved. We may come down from Bedfordshire to see the project in the near future.

I have just been given a print of the Ocean Pride by my brother as we have a family interest in this. Our grandfather was a Peake from Tolcarne and would have been involved in building this. His son Nicky Peake also carried on the business and I remember as a child going to the workshop where the boats were built. The business then changed to an undertakers which still runs in Newlyn. Interested to see how this project progresses.
